DAVIDSON-N.C. - Mark Lisi scored two goals and had one assist in leading 11th-ranked Clemson to a 3-2 win over Davidson in a men's intercollegiate soccer match at Davidson, NC Wednesday night.

With the win, Clemson improves to 9-3-1 overall, while the Wildcats drop to 10-4-1 this season. The Tigers broke Davidson's six-match winning streak.

Clemson got on the board first when Steve Rhyne received a Lisi pass from the right wing and slid the ball past Davidson's goalkeeper Soren Johnson with 9:43 gone into the match.

The Wildcats scored the equalizer in the 17th minute of action as a throw in from David Peoples went to Chris Norbet who sent a pass to Dane Erickson who found the back of the net.

Lisi gave the Tigers a 2-1 lead at the 22:33 mark, putting the ball in the goal, after the ball got loose in front of the Davidson goal.

The Wildcats pulled even once again with just under 10 minutes left in the first period. Junior Eric Ozimek tied the score 2-2 after gaining possession of the ball as Clemson goalkeeper Doug Warren was attempting to clear the ball.
