Tigers on Tour
Twelve professional golfers with ties to Clemson have competed on the BUY.com or PGA Tours in 2002. The list is led by Jonathan Byrd, who is currently 64th on the PGA Tour money list. He recently finished third in Greensboro and eighth at the Colonial in Fort Worth, TX on May 19. The rookie on the PGA Tour who was a two-time All-American at Clemson from 1996-2000 is second on tour in eagles with nine and is fifth in par five scoring average at 4.48. He is also third on the PGA Tour in final round scoring average at 68.83.

Charles Warren, a former teammate of Byrd at Clemson in 1997 and 1998, is fourth on the BUY.com Tour in money earned with $107,829. He won the BUY.com event at the Cliffs in Travelers Rest, SC in April. Lucas Glover, another member of Clemson's 1998 team that finished second at the NCAA Tournament, finished third at the BUY.com event in Raleigh on May 19 and is now 47th on the BUY.com money list with $26,100.

The list of former Tigers on Tour below includes Jeff Julian, a student at Clemson from 1979-82 who never played in an event for the Tigers, but did participate in practice. He has played in four events on the PGA Tour on sponsors exemptions. He is suffering from Lou Gehrig's disease.

D.J. Trahan, currently a junior on the Clemson team, finished 45th at the BUY.com event in Greenville in April. He had rounds of 67-70-69-74 for a 280 total.
