Glover became just the fifth freshman in Clemson history to win a tournament. Tony Nimmer won the South Carolina Intercollegiate in his freshman year, 1979-80. Chris Patton won co-medalist honors at the Gamecock Invitational in 1986-87, his freshman season. Patton had a 71.85 in 1988-89 and Pruitt had a 71.94 in 1983-84. Of course Charles Warren could also do it. Warren has a 71.78 figure that would be best in Clemson history if the season ended today. Byrd has a 73.11 stroke average for his career and now has 13 Top 10 finishes in his 23 tournament career.
