Clemson, SC -- Clemson's golf team is ranked 15th in the nation in the latest Golf World/Nike Coaches Poll released on Wednesday. This is the seventh poll of the season and the Tigers have been ranked in the top 20 in all seven polls.
Clemson has finished in second place in four of its eight tournaments so far this year, including each of the last two, The Hootie Collegiate in Mt. Pleasant, SC and the Furman Invitational in Greenville, SC. Clemson finished second at The Brickyard and the Isleworth Collegiate in the fall. Clemson will be back in action this weekend at the Augusta State Invitational.
Clemson is one of five ACC teams in the top 20 of the latest poll. Georgia Tech is the highest ranked team from the league with a 10th place ranking, while Florida State is 11th. Duke is 14th, the Tigers are 15th and Wake Forest is 18th. Alabama is first, while Georgia is second and Southern California is third.
