Summer 2007: Played in five major amateur events in summer of 2007...had 22nd place finish at the Monroe in June for his top performance...had a 66 in the opening round that was his best round of the summer...also played in Northeast Amateur, Players Amateur, Southern Amateur and Porter Cup.
In 2006-07: Third best on the Clemson team in stroke average with 74.15 figure...second on the team in tournaments played with nine, second in rounds at 75 or better and led the team in even par rounds with six...his eight rounds at par or better tied for second on the team...led the team in fairway hitting percentage with a .765 figure, and in par three scoring with a 3.19 figure...second on the team in birdies with 78... finished the year strong with 12th place finish at the ACC Tournament, his best finish of the year, and his 216 score was his low 54-hole total of the year...then finished 23rd in 27-team field at the NCAA East Regional...did his part to try to get Clemson into the NCAA finals with a 220 score, four over par...had opening round 71 and final round 72... joined Kyle Stanley as only Tigers to play in eight of the nine team events...also played in the Callaway Match Play in November... had a 1-2 record at the Calloway Match Play, he beat Chris Killmer of Washington 7 and 5 in the most dominant performance by a Clemson golfer at the event...suffered a heart-breaking loss to Chris Ward of Oklahoma State, 1-up in the second-round... best tournament in the fall was a 23rd place finish at the Aloha Classic... ..had a 73.67 stroke average in the fall of 2006...had his best finish of the fall at the Purdue Aloha Classic where he was 23rd with a 219 score...performance included a fall best 68...his best tournament vs. par took place in the opening event where he had a two-over-par 218 at the Carpet Classic...very consistent in that event, he had rounds of 73-73-72...helped Clemson to second-place finish at the Carpet Classic, the best team finish of the fall with a 218 score, two over par.
Summer 2006: Had his best showing at the Northeast Amateur in Rumford, RI where he finished fourth with a 136 score...he had rounds of 67-69 on the par 69 course in the event that was shortened to just 36 holes due to weather conditions...finished 15th at the end of the summer at the Porter Cup...had an even-par 280 thanks to consistent rounds of 69-71-70-70...also had a solid showing at the Monroe where he finished 28th with a 291 score...had opening round 69 for his top round of that tournament....had a hole-in-one from 210 yards with a three-iron during the 2006 Monroe Invitational.
In 2005-06: Played in 11 of the 12 events, helping the Tigers to a seventh-place national finish as a first-year freshman...had 74.26 stroke average for the year, fifth best on the team...one of three Tigers to play in at least 11 of the 12 events...had 12 rounds at par-or-better for the year, third best on the team...had six rounds at par to lead the team, and six more under-par...had a pair of 65s, the two best rounds of the year by any Clemson golfers...had a solid year in terms of hitting fairways, his .772 percentage was 24th best in the nation and second best on the Clemson team behind Stephen Poole...had a pair of top 10 finishes as a first-year freshman, the Carpet Classic in the fall and the ACC Tournament in the spring...shot a nine-under-par 207 to finish second at the Carpet Classic...shot a final round 65 to make a charge to threaten for the individual title...it was quite a comeback for the Tiger rookie, who had finished last at the Isleworth in the previous event, so he improved from 90th to second in one tournament... lost by two shots to Mark Haastrup of Georgia State, but finished better than Matt Every of Florida, Brian Harman of Georgia, Roberto Castro of Georgia Tech and defending ACC Champion Ryan Blaum of Duke... his -9 score for the tournament also tied for the best in Clemson history by a freshman and was the best since D.J. Trahan's -9 at Las Vegas in March of 2000....shot a 211 at the ACC Tournament, five-under-par, in finishing ninth...his second round 65 was the best single round of the tournament by a Tiger...helped Clemson to third-place finish and 24-under-par score, one of Clemson's best scores vs. par at the event...tied for first among Clemson golfers and the best among the underclassmen at the NCAA National Tournament when he shot a 290 and finished 32nd...best finish by a Clemson first-year freshman at the NCAA national tournament since D.J. Trahan was 15th at the 2000 event in Auburn, AL...his final round 72 contributed to Clemson's seventh-place finish at Crosswater Golf Club...Clemson's first or second best golfer in five of the 12 events in 2005-06...had a top 25 finish at the Hall of Fame Invitational in Humble, TX in March when he shot a 226 and finished 24th individually...second best Tiger at the Puerto Rico Classic where he shot a 218 and finished 27th...shot 75 or better in each of his last 10 rounds of the year and in 23 of his 34 rounds for the year.
In High School: Ranked as high as seventh in the nation in Sagarin National Junior Rankings in 2004 and 2005...New York State Junior Champion in 2003 and 2002....won three AGJA Tournaments in his career, two in 2004 and one in 2003...played on the national amateur circuit in summer of 2005, he played in the Jones Cup, Sunnehanna, Monroe, Northeast Amateur and Porter Cup to name a few...had best finish at the Sunnehanna in June when he shot an even-par 280 to finish tied for 13th...finished 29th at the Porter Cup with a solid 282 score...captured the Jeffery M. Isner Memorial at New Seabury in 2003 and won the Randall Parker Shootout at Fieldstone and the Bobby Chapman in 2004...lost to Tom Glisseyer in the first round of the 2004 US Junior Amateur, 1-up...advanced to the championship round of the 2004 Polo Junior Classic, where he lost to James Lee...three-time high school All-American... a second-team AJGA All-American in 2004 and honorable mention choice in 2003 and 2005...played in the Canon Cup for the East team in 2005 and 2004...four-time All-State selection in New York...lettered six years in golf, playing for Auburn High School in Auburn, NY for Anthony Locastro...helped Auburn High to four Section III Championships...five-time team MVP...set school's all-time scoring record with a 34.7 average (nine holes) his senior year.
