CLEMSON, SC - Clemson has broken the football season ticket record for the second straight year, announced Clemson Athletic Ticket Manager Travis Furbee on Thursday afternoon. A total of 58,134 season tickets were sold for the 2008 Tiger football season, nearly 150 more than the 57,991 sold in 2007, which was the previous record-breaking number. A limited number of season tickets remain before season tickets will be considered a complete sellout for 2008.

"Season ticket sales have continued to climb the last couple of years," said Furbee. "Our season ticket numbers are very strong, and tops in the Atlantic Coast Conference. This is a great testimony to the loyalty of our IPTAY donors and they should be proud of the message this sends."

In addition to the season ticket record, Furbee also announced Thursday that tickets are sold out for the September 27 game at home against Maryland. That game is designated as Family Weekend and Tiger Cub Day.

Tickets still remain for the Clemson's first three home games of 2008, against The Citadel on September 6, N.C. State on September 13 and South Carolina State on September 20. Visit ClemsonTigers.com to purchase tickets.
