Overview Clemson’s leading receiver in terms of reception yardage this year…had 752 receiving yards, just 25 yards away from moving into the top 10 in Clemson history on a season basis…his 52 catches in 2002 rank him 11th in Clemson history, but second on this year’s team behind Kevin Youngblood…ranked in the top 10 in the ACC in receptions and receptions per game, he is seventh in catches per game, but sixth in yards per game…even though he has just eight career starts, ranks in the top 15 in Clemson history in receptions and reception yards…14th in yardage with 1277 and 15th in receptions with 84…has a career yards per reception figure of 15.2, seventh in Clemson history among players with at least 80 catches…has shown improvement each year at Clemson, he has gone from three catches to 29 to 52 … joined classmates Bryant McNeal and Eric Meekins as Clemson’s career leaders in games played when the Tigers played in the Tangerine Bowl …has had two 10-catch games this year, he had 10-123 against Ball State and 10-103 at Duke…joined Virginia’s Billy McMullen as only ACC players with two games of at least 10 catches this year…also had five catches against Florida State, Wake Forest and NC State…led the team with three 100-yard receiving games…has had four touchdown catches each of the last two years…had just seven catches for 80 yards over the first three games, he then had 37 for 524 yards over the next six games, an average of 6.2 catches for 87 yards per game…had many big receptions, he led the team in catches of 20 yards or more with 13…only start of the year was against Wake Forest, he had 5-70 in that game…Kevin Youngblood had been injured all week leading up to that game…but, starting obviously doesn’t mean anything in Clemson’s system…had strong game against South Carolina with 3-58…had reception touchdowns against Ball State, Virginia, Duke and North Carolina…his 15-yard scoring pass against Duke put the Tigers in the lead in the fourth quarter…had a 58-yard scoring pass against North Carolina from Charlie Whitehurst with just 29 seconds to go in the half…caught at least one pass in every game this year and has a streak of 18 straight games with a catch dating back to last year…has caught at least one pass in 23 of the last 25 games…averaged 31 plays per game this year…led Clemson in receiving in four games this year, consecutive games against Ball State and Florida State, and consecutive games against NC State and Duke…
