Overview: Solid punter who will bring experience back to the position in 2008...had a 42.8-yard average in 2007, eighth-best in Clemson history and best by a Tiger since Chris Gardocki had a record 44.5-yard average in 1990...20th in the nation in punting, quite an accomplishment for someone who had just one career punt entering 2007...while he has been a starter just one year, he is third in Clemson history in career punting (42.8) in 56 career punts...his brother Barrett played football for two years at Coastal Carolina...one of the top student-athletes at Clemson; he was one of five student-athletes and the first football player inducted into the Phi Beta Kappa Honor Society in April of 2008...had a perfect 4.0 GPA in the 2008 spring semester and has been consistently on the Dean's List in his career...earned his undergraduate degree in history in May, 2008.

2007: Second-team All-ACC punter by Rivals.com...fourth in the ACC in punting (42.8)...starter in all 13 games...had five straight games with at least a 44.8-yard average from the Louisiana-Monroe through Virginia Tech games, the first Tiger to do that since Chris Gardocki had five games in a row with at least a 44-yard average in 1990...had a 71-yard punt against Louisiana-Monroe, the eighth-longest in Tiger history and fourth-longest by a Tiger in Death Valley; it was the longest punt by a Tiger since 2000; it was the longest punt by a Tiger in Death Valley since 1990...had nine games in which he averaged at least 40 yards a punt...had a 50.3-yard net punting average against Furman...had two games with a 49-yard average (Furman, Georgia Tech)...had a 48-yard average against #14 Virginia Tech...had 16 punts inside the 20 and 13 punts of at least 50 yards...had three punts inside the 20 at Duke to go with a 40.2-yard average...had three punts of at least 50 yards at Georgia Tech...had a 45.6-yard net punting average at Georgia Tech.

2006: Backup punter who had one punt, a 42-yarder against Temple; he was the only punter to appear in that game due to Clemson's proficiency on offense (63 points), so he was credited with a start.

2005: Did not appear in a game...walked on to the team in the spring.

Before Clemson: Lettered three times in football and two times in golf at Northwestern High School...played quarterback and punter under Head Coach Jimmy Wallace...all-area as a quarterback by Rock Hill Herald and all-region as a senior punter...averaged 42 yards per punt as a junior and senior...two-time selection as Tri-County Coaches Association Specialist-of-the-Week in his career...his father Michael played football at Alabama and Presbyterian in the early 1980s...his brother Barrett lettered two times in football at Coastal Carolina...born Oct. 16, 1986...graduated in May, 2008 with a degree in history.
