In 1999: Certainly a highlight of the year for Ciurciu was 11-yard touchdown reception from placekicker Tony Lazzara at Virginia Tech...his catch in the endzone helped bring Clemson to within three points of the Hokies in the fourth period...ran the ball from scrimmage just three times, all three came in the Duke game when he gained five yards...played from scrimmage on offense in eight of the 12 games...never played more than five snaps, however...good receiver out of the backfield, he caught four passes for 22 yards...outstanding member of the special teams, he had nine special teams tackles for the season, fifth best on the team..had three special teams tackles against Georgia Tech and two against Wake Forest...played in every game, he actually started the Wake Forest game at running back...In 1998: Backup to Terry Witherspoon at fullback, he was in for 111 snaps and had 27 rushes for 99 yards...fourth on the team in rushing, he also caught two passes out of the backfield...had 4-30 rushing against Georgia Tech in nationally televised game, that was his top game of the year...had a career long run of 20 yards in that game...had 7-33 rushing in opener against Furman...had a career high in carries (11-24) against Maryland...played career high 29 snaps in that game...In High School: Rushed for 1260 yards as senior in high school and scored 25 touchdowns...played with West Virginia running back Cooper Rego as a junior...played on the number-one team in the state, St. Joseph's High in Paramus, NJ...played in the New York/New Jersey Governor's Bowl in history school....majoring in business administration...born 5-2-80.
