Jimmy Addison was a standout quarterback from 1965-67. He was named All-ACC as a junior in 1966 and was an Academic All-ACC selection in his sophomore and junior years. He later was a recipient of the NCAA Post-Graduate Scholarship in 1968. The state of South Carolina named him the collegiate athlete of the year in 1966. While at Clemson, he set eight school season and career records. The Associated Press named him the national back of the week after the opening game of the 1966 season when he led Clemson to a comeback victory over Virginia. He was also the Vice President of Delta Kappa Alpha Fraternity. Addison was inducted into the Clemson Hall of Fame in 1994.
