Clemson basketball signees Tanner Smith and Andre Young will play together this weekend for the U.S. All-Star team in the Capital Classic, which will be held Sunday at 5:00 PM at the Comcast Center in College Park, MD. The U.S. team, which features seven prospects signed with ACC schools, will face the Capital All-Stars in the featured game.

It marks the second straight year that two signees from Clemson's program have played in the all-star game. Last season, Jerai Grant and Terrence Oglesby faced each other in the game. Oglesby was named to the all-tournament team after scoring 20 points for the U.S. team, while Grant recorded a double-double for the victorious Capital squad.

Smith was a second-team All-State selection after leading Wesleyan High School to the Georgia AA state championship, first-ever for the school. The 6'5" versatile player moved over to the point guard position for his senior year and posted solid averages across the board of 11.7 points, 7.3 assists, and 6.1 rebounds per game. Smith, who averaged 25 points per game as a junior on a Wesleyan team without Georgia signee Howard Thompkins, is listed as a four-star prospect by Scout.com.

Young led the Deerfield-Windsor School to a runner-up finish at the AAA level in the GISA (Georgia Independent Schools Association) state championship. He is a four-star prospect by Scout.com and is ranked as the #85 high school senior nationally by the same site. Young is the #78 prospect overall according to Prep Stars and also a top 150 player according to Rivals.com.
