MYRTLE BEACH, S.C. (AP) - Will Solomon scored 21 points to help Clemson rally to an 81-68 victory against Coastal Carolina Saturday.

The Tigers used the second-half to pull away from Coastal Carolina, which dominated the game.

Coastal Carolina (2-10) jumped to an early 37-19 lead over the Tigers on Justin Burton's 3-pointer with 5:34 left in the first half.

But Clemson (9-4) chipped away at the lead behind increased defensive pressure. Pasha Bains' 3-pointer pulled the Tigers to within 41-28 at the break.

Tigers started the second half with a 17-2 run that gave them their first lead since the start of the game.

Coastal answered with a two-handed slam from Derrick Robinson on Alvin Green's inbounds pass to go back up 48-47, but it was the last time the Coastal Carolina would lead. The Chanticleers stayed within four for the next 6:30 and twice tied the game.

Clemson center Adam Allenspach was limited to just one half of action with lingering back problems. His replacement, Chris Hobbs, gave Clemson a 65-60 lead with 5:36 left.

Edward Scott gave the Tigers a six-point lead, and the advantage bulged to 10 on Tony Stockman's stickback with 2:17 left. Clemson padded its margin from the foul line in the final minutes.

Scott and Stockman also finished in double-digits with 14 and 12.
