CLEMSON, S.C. (AP) - Shawan Robinson scored 22 points on 8-of-13 shooting to lead Clemson to a 90-64 victory over Virginia on Saturday.

The Tigers (16-11, 5-9 Atlantic Coast Conference) went ahead by double-digits early and stayed in control throughout the game. Robinson had 15 points in the opening half, and Clemson led 46-35 at halftime. The Tigers led by as many as 25 points in the first half.

Virginia (14-11, 7-7) had 16 turnovers in the first half, which led to 18 points for the Tigers. The Cavaliers entered the contest averaging just 14 turnovers per game, and they finished with season-high 28.

Sean Singletary led Virginia with 25 points and J.R. Reynolds added 16.

Clemson went on a 17-5 run to make it 66-45 with 11:16 remaining. Akin Akingbala scored 14 points and reserve center Steve Allen added 11.

Virginia's Jason Cain, who plays an average of 32 minutes a game, was in the game just seven minutes after he yelled at assistant coach Steve Seymour. He played just nine minutes total.

Clemson had lost six of its last seven before the victory.
