Overview: Walk-on who joined team in October…should provide
depth for the Tigers on the wing…from nearby Wren High School in Piedmont,
the only native of South Carolina on the Clemson roster for 2002-03.
In High School: Averaged 27 points, 11 rebounds and three
steals at Wren High School in nearby Piedmont, SC…had senior year scoring
average that is highest among all Clemson newcomers…one of the few players
in the upstate of South Carolina to average a double-double last year…named
all-region and all-state his junior and senior season…holds the Wren High
School scoring record…MVP of the region as a senior in 2002-03…earned
four letters in basketball and three in baseball during his high school career…played
on conference championship basketball team as a sophomore and on Upper State
Championship baseball team as a junior…played his high school basketball
under Fran Campbell…comes to Clemson from the same high school that sent
former all-conference football lineman Will Merritt to Clemson…born Reed
