Overview: One of the top returning post players in the ACC and will certainly will be an all-conference candidate as a junior...has shown flashes of dominance in his first two years, as he has averaged 10.7 points per game and shot 58 percent on field goals during that time...shortest center in the ACC at 6'7", he plays much bigger than his height would suggest...a strong finisher with the basketball, he led the team with 44 dunks in 2006-07 and 34 more in his second year...also showed an ability to step out and knock down some mid-range shots as a sophomore...one of the quickest post players in the conference...has a knack for tracking down rebounds, especially on the offensive glass...ranked second in the ACC in offensive rebounds as a freshman and fourth as a sophomore...a shot-blocking presence inside, he already ranks sixth in Clemson history with 141 career blocked shots...ranks fourth in school history with 2.01 blocks per game, behind only former NBA players Tree Rollins, Elden Campbell, and Sharone Wright...has pulled down 6.9 rebounds per game in his first two seasons at Clemson...ranks fifth in Clemson history in field goal percentage (.578)...set Clemson record for starts by a freshman (36) and has played in more games (70) through two seasons than any player in school history, along with classmate David Potter...has started every game of his career...earned team's Top Rebounder and Field Goal Percentage Awards at the season-ending banquet as a freshman and sophomore...cousin, Jordan Hill, is a standout basketball player at the University of Arizona.

In 2006-07: Put together a stellar freshman season, one of the best in recent memory at Clemson...averaged 10.4 points per game, one of five players on the team to score in double figures for the season...tied for team lead in rebounds per game at 6.4...totaled 78 blocks, second-most in school history by a freshman...only Tree Rollins had more...finished fourth nationally among freshmen and 33rd overall in blocked shots per game (2.17)...ranked third in the ACC with that figure, but actually led the conference in regular season play with 2.38 blocks per game...his rebound total (232) was second-most in school history for a freshman (Rollins had 316 in 1973-74)...shot 60.2 percent for the season, also second-best in school history by a freshman...added 38 assists and 32 steals in a fine all-around first year with the program...had at least one blocked shot in 34 of the 36 games...posted three double-doubles, including one in the NIT opening round versus East Tennessee State...posted four double figure rebounding efforts...got stronger as the year progressed, a rarity for a freshman...averaged 9.8 points per game for the first 12 games of the year, then 12.5 over the last 12 games...played some of his best basketball at the ACC Tournament and the postseason NIT...averaged 12.4 points and 7.2 rebounds per game in five NIT games.
