Clemson, SC - Clemson's 10-player baseball recruiting class was ranked #20 in the nation by Baseball America on Tuesday. Florida was ranked #1, while Stanford, Arizona State, Texas Christian, and Cal State Fullerton rounded out the top five. All 10 Tigers are already on campus and have been going through fall workouts in preparation for the 2010 season-opener against Miami (OH) on February 19. Clemson was one of five ACC schools in the top 20 of Baseball America's recruiting rankings.

Head Coach Jack Leggett and Recruiting Coordinator Tom Riginos brought in 10 high school players. Two of the signees were selected in the 2009 Major League draft, infielder/righthander Richie Shaffer (25th round, Dodgers) and righthander Scott Firth (36th round, Orioles).
