Clemson Head Baseball Coach Jack Leggett was named the 2002 Atlantic Region Coach-of-the-Year by the American Baseball Coaches' Association this past weekend. Leggett guided the Tigers to a tie for third place in the NCAA Tournament in 2002, tying for the highest finish in school history. The 2002 Tigers finished with a 54-17 record and multiple All-America selections, including unanimous National Player-of-the-Year Khalil Greene.

Under Leggett's tenure, Clemson has was 434 games in nine seasons, averaging over 48 wins per season. Only Florida State and Wichita State have won more games in the last nine years. He has also led Clemson to four College World Series appearances and has coached two National Players-of-the-Year (Kris Benson and Greene).
