"I'm pleased with how we played, because you never know in the first game. Our pitching was good, Ryan Mottl came out strong, Steve Reba gave us two good innings and Nick Glaser came in and shut the door. I thought we played well defensively and if you pitch well and play good defense you will usually win. Rice is a good team, so I'm glad to get this win."
