Head Coach Jack Leggett on Schnabel: "Brock is a senior righthander who will graduate in May. If he continues to keep working hard and get himself in the shape he needs to be in, he has a chance to help us this season. He has been working hard in the fall and has improved, so I'm looking forward to see how he comes along this spring."

Experienced and tall righthander in his second and final year in the program...played one season (2005) at Jacksonville before transferring to Polk Community College, where he played during the 2006 season...joins catcher Doug Hogan as the only seniors on the 2008 team...tallest Tiger on the 2008 team at 6'4".

2007: Had a 1-1 record and 15.43 ERA in five relief appearances (4.2 innings pitched)...allowed eight hits (.381 opponents' batting average) and one walk with four strikeouts...held opponents to 1-for-6 (.167) with two outs and 0-for-3 with runners on base and two outs...did not allow his one inherited runner to score...in 2.1 innings pitched in March, he allowed just one hit, no runs, and no walks...pitched 1.1 innings in relief, allowing one hit, no runs, and no walks with a strikeout to earn his first win as a Tiger against Memphis on Mar. 11.

BEFORE CLEMSON: Florida junior college all-star at Polk Community College in 2006, where he was coached by Johnny Wiggs...#11 junior college prospect in Florida by Perfect Game...Atlantic Sun All-Freshman team selection at Jacksonville in 2005, where he was 1-1 with a 3.66 ERA and one save in 39.1 innings pitched over 15 appearances (two starts); also had 32 strikeouts against only nine walks under Head Coach Terry Alexander...third in the Atlantic Sun with a 2.66 ERA in conference games...team MVP and first-team all-area as a senior Lake Region High School, where he was coached by Bill Bullock...set school records for batting average (.427), triples (3), and doubles (11) as a senior...had a 6-4 record and 2.35 ERA with 70 strikeouts as a senior...first-team all-area and second-team all-county selection after posting a 4-3 record with a 1.68 ERA in 50.0 innings pitched as a junior...had a 3.50 ERA as a sophomore...four-year starter as a first-baseman and pitcher at Lake Region High...lettered four times in baseball and two times in basketball at Lake Region High...member of the National Honor Society.
