Head Coach Jack Leggett on McKinney: "Clinton is a transfer into our program and is coming off elbow surgery. He throws down under on the right side. He is very effective, especially against righthanded batters. He is a very hard worker. He has a real firm and strong fastball with a good submarine slider. He has a chance to help us in some critical situations this year."

BEFORE CLEMSON: Lettered at North Carolina-Greensboro in 2006 and 2007, where he was coached by Mike Gaski...in 55 appearances with the Spartans, he had a 3-6 record with a 3.97 ERA and two saves in 90.2 innings pitched...had a 3-1 record and 3.37 ERA in 34.2 innings pitched with 35 strikeouts against seven walks as a sophomore at North Carolina-Greensboro...member of the Valley League champions in the summer of 2006...AAA Player-of-the-Year, an all-state selection, and region MVP as a senior at Greenville High School...named to the North-South All-Star game as a senior...member of the state championship team as a senior...lettered four times in baseball and two times in football at Greenville High, where he was coached by Dave Delgado.
