Power-hitting catcher who also will be used as a pitcher, despite not making an appearance his first two years...has been clocked in the mid 90s...a career .237 hitter in 71 games (44 starts).

2003: Hit .200 with six doubles and 10 RBIs in 33 games (18 starts, 17 at catcher and one as the DH)...was 3-for-7 in the second inning...hit .300 in February...went 2-for-4 with two RBIs and two runs scored against Wofford on Mar. 24...had two hits, including a key double in Clemson's seven-run ninth inning, in game two of a doubleheader at #16 N.C. State on Mar. 29...hit an RBI, pinch-hit double against Duke on May 6...went 2-for-4 with two RBIs against Elon on May 7...had a single off the bench against North Carolina on May 10...played for Falmouth in the Cape Cod League in the summer.

2002: Had a .266 batting average and six homers along with 21 RBIs in 38 games...started 26 games at catcher...struck out 45 times, meaning when he put the ball in play, he hit .510...hit .361 with runners in scoring position...hit .308 with runners on base...hit .303 in 27 home games...was 4-for-8 with two doubles in three NCAA Tournament games...was 6-for-14 (.429) with four doubles in 12 games off the bench...hit .394 with three homers and 13 RBIs in 13 games in the month of March...was 5-for-11 (.455) with four RBIs in first innings...hit a home run in his first collegiate start and second career at-bat against #25 Auburn on Feb. 24; he hit the homer off Eric Brandon, who in his next start threw a perfect game for Auburn...had three hits, including a home run over the centerfield batters' eye, against UNC Asheville on Mar. 19...had a double and a towering three-run homer against Maine on Mar. 22...went 2-for-4 with an RBI against Coastal Carolina on Mar. 27...hit a mammoth three-run homer against Maryland on Mar. 29...went 2-for-3 with a double and two RBIs against Maryland on Mar. 31...gave Clemson the lead in the eighth inning with a two-run homer against Georgia on Apr. 10 in a game the Tigers went on to win 6-5...hit a solo homer at #13 North Carolina on Apr. 12...hit a pinch-hit double at Virginia on May 11...hit a run-scoring double against Georgia Southern in the Clemson Regional on May 31...came off the bench and went 2-for-2 with a double against #22 East Carolina in the Clemson Regional on June 2...had a single in four at-bats against #3 South Carolina in the College World Series on June 19.
