Tall righthander who was used as a midweek starter during his first two seasons, but was one of the Tigers' top weekend starters in 2003...has a 15-5 career record and 4.88 ERA in 31 starts and 14 relief appearances (177.0 innings pitched)...a power pitcher who reaches the low-to-mid 90s...listed as the #29 senior in the nation in the preseason by Baseball America...tri-captain in 2004...drafted in 2003, but returns for his senior year.

2002: Had a 6-1 record and 5.37 ERA in 12 starts and four relief appearances...pitched 63.2 innings, third-most on the team...threw 93 ground-ball outs compared to just 33 fly-ball outs...had 19 chances without committing an error...held lefthanded batters to a .246 batting average...had a 5-0 record in night games...did not allow a run while allowing just two hits in 5.1 innings pitched in as a reliever...had a 0.96 ERA, .129 opponents' batting average, and 1-0 record in three appearances against teams ranked in the top 25...Clemson was 10-2 when he started on the mound...held batters to a .206 batting average with runners in scoring position and two outs...did not allow a run in 5.1 innings pitched after the seventh inning...in his first start of the year against #25 Auburn on Feb. 24, he did not factor in the decision, but allowed just one run on four hits in 6.0 innings pitched...struck out 11 batters in 5.0 innings to pick up the win at College of Charleston on Mar. 1...picked up the win, allowing two runs in 5.0 innings pitched against Purdue on Mar. 10...allowed no runs, no walks, and two hits in 6.0 innings pitched to earn the win against Maine on Mar. 22...allowed one earned run on four hits in 5.2 innings pitched against Winthrop on Apr. 3...pitched 2.1 hitless and scoreless innings to pick up the win at #13 North Carolina on Apr. 12...earned the win against Furman on Apr. 23; he pitched 7.0 innings, allowing nine hits, four earned runs, and no walks while striking out five...earned the victory against Wofford on May 8; he allowed one earned run on four hits in 5.0 innings pitched.

2001: Emerged as a mid-week starter early in the season...appeared in 16 games with six starts...held Richmond hitless in the ninth inning in the season opener in his first collegiate action...got his first collegiate start at UNLV on Feb. 22, allowing one earned run and four hits...pitched 6.0 innings and gave up two earned runs against Furman to earn his first career victory...allowed just one run over 5.0 innings pitched a week later in a win over College of Charleston...appeared in just one inning in each of five games in the middle of the season, allowing just two hits in that span...pitched scoreless innings against Furman and Virginia in the last week of the regular season.

A USA Today Honorable Mention selection as a junior at Summerville High School...drafted in the 38th round by the Tampa Bay Devil Rays in 2000...an All-Region 6-AAAA selection as a junior...was 4-2 with a 2.50 ERA in 64.1 innings pitched as a junior...also hit .442 with 25 RBIs as a junior...a Team One Showcase and East Coast Professional Showcase participant in 1999...High School Sports Report Junior Select Camp participant...a 1998 and 1999 member of the Charleston Diamond Devil Fall traveling team...was 3-3 with a 1.70 ERA and 37 strikeouts against just six walks in 37.0 innings pitched in 1999 with the Diamond Devils...lettered four times in baseball and twice in football at Summerville HS...coached by Burt Bazzle at Summerville High School.
