Head Coach Jack Leggett on Deese: "Kyle is a freshman righthander who if we can keep healthy, he will be able to show off his strong arm. He has the ability to pitch at this level and do well for our team. We have to keep him healthy, and once that happens, he is going to be fighting for some innings this season."
BEFORE CLEMSON: An all-state selection as a senior and all-region pick as a junior and senior at Chapman High School...lettered three times in baseball at Chapman High, where he was coached by Kevin Carr.
