GREENVILLE, SC - The Clemson men's cross country team finished sixth at the NCAA Southeast Regional Championships held Saturday morning at Furman University in Greenville, SC. The NC State men's cross country team captured first place finishing with 30 points. William & Mary placed second with 72 points, and Wake Forest was third with 82 points. Duke and Virginia finished fourth and fifth with 86 and 144 points, respectively. Clemson registered 184 points for a sixth place finish.
N.C. State placed six runners in the top 15, and was paced by Chris Seaton who finished third with a time of 30:31. The meet's individual champion was Sean Graham of William & Mary, who crossed the finish line in 30:15. Earning second place individual honors was Duke's Sean Kelly with a time of 30:21.
Clemson was led by Scott Shaw who covered the course in 31:08 to finish 20th. Jason Meany finished 32nd in 31:40, and Travis Alexander was 34th in a time of 31:47. Derrick Wyatt posted a 40th place finish in 32:03, while Matt Gunn finished in 58th place with a time of 32:32.
