CLEMSON, SC - The Clemson Swimming and Diving program will host top-15 Virginia squads on Saturday, October 25 at 11:00 am at McHugh Natatorium. The Virginia men's team is ranked 13th, while the women are ranked 12th. The Clemson women's team is 29th in the first College Swimming Coaches Association of America (CSCAA) dual-meet poll, released October 16. This will be the final home meet until January 10, 2009.

So far, the Lady Tigers are 2-0, with decisive wins over Davidson and Georgia Tech. The men defeated Davidson, but were edged by the Yellow Jackets. The Cavaliers have yet to compete in the 2008-09 season, but will travel to Columbia to take on South Carolina on Friday before traveling to Clemson for a date with the Tigers.

Virginia won both the men's and women's ACC championships and defeated the Tigers in a dual meet in Charlottesville. The Cavs hold a 29-12-1 series edge on the men's side and an 18-12 advantage over the Tigers on the women's side.

The meet will be the final home date for the Tigers in 2008, with them returning to action on January 10, 2009 at McHugh. The Tigers will travel to Columbia on Halloween to take on the Gamecocks for their next dual meet.
