CLEMSON, SC - Clemson swimmer Cami Sink has been chosen to compete in the World University Games in Mallorca, Spain, on July 8-13, 1999.

Sink, a freshman from Charleston, SC, is one of 26 collegiate females in the nation chosen to compete in the event. The fastest swimmer in each event at the United States Swimming Nationals in Cloeis, California, held last August, was chosen to represent the United States at the World University Games. Sink will be competing in the individual medley events, after posting the fastest 200-meter IM qualifying time.

"I am extremely excited for Cami to gain international experience and expose Clemson swimming at such a prestigious meet," said Clemson head coach Bruce Marchionda. "Cami has worked very hard, and it's nice to see her obtain one of her goals."
