The Clemson men's and women's swimming teams hosted the Savannah College of Art and Design (SCAD) on Friday night and won both matchups. The men improve to 6-1 (3-1) ACC while the women move to 2-5 (1-3 ACC) for the season. Both SCAD teams drop to 2-3 on the season.

The meet with SCAD served as a tune-up before the Tigers head to Chapel Hill, NC for the Nike Cup from Nov. 15-17. The meet featured many Tiger swimmers in events in which they don't usually partake.

Overall, Head Coach Chris Ip was happy, saying "I was pleased with the competition tonight. We saw some good times and it kept our kids sharp."

Mark Vahle won the 100 breast, while Adam Farnham won the 200 free for the Tigers, and Dan Mengering won the 1000 free and 100 fly. On the women's side, Michelle Parkhurst showed her versatility, taking home wins in the 50 free, 500 free, and 200 free relay.

For the Bees, Danny Recordon won the 50 free and 100 free.

The Tigers will head to Chapel Hill this coming weekend for the Nike Event, which will feature several top-level teams from around the country. Fans are encouraged to visit clemsontigers.com for updates throughout the Nike Cup.
