March 22, 1998

MINNEAPOLIS - The Lady Tigers accumulated three points to land them a 35th finish in the Women's NCAA Swimming and Diving Championships. They concluded their 1997-98 season with a record of 9-4 overall and 2-1 in the ACC.

ACC Champion Jennifer Mihalik placed 14th in the 200-yard backstroke preliminaries with a time of 1:59.34 and 15th in the final with 2:00.24.

Erin Schatz competed in the 1650-yard freestyle where she placed 16th with a personal best time of 16:33.05, moving her into third place on Clemson's All-Time Top 10 list.

The Men's NCAA Championship will be March 26-28 in Auburn, AL. The Clemson Men's Swimming and Diving team qualified Razvan Petcu in the 50 freestyle (20.11) and 100 freestyle (43.82).
