2006-07: As a freshman, recorded the fifth fastest time in Clemson history in the 200 backstroke (1:48.16) during the preliminary heats of the ACC Championships...Went on to finish 10th in the event, and also participated in the preliminary heats of the 50 freestyle (22.16) and 100 backstroke (52.35)...Placed third in the 100 backstroke (51.94) with a season best time, and 200 backstroke (1:52.48) his first meet as a Tiger against Florida State...Won his first event of his career against Georgia Tech by winning the 200 backstroke (1:51.66)...At the 2006 Nike cup, placed fourth in the 200 backstroke (1:52.07), 19th in the 100 backstroke (52.56), and was a member of the 13th place 200 medley relay (1:35.35), and 13th place 400 medley relay (3:28.20)...Claimed second in the 200 backstroke (1:51.69) and fifth in the 100 backstroke (52.36) in the final home meet against N.C. State.
