Eight Members of The Clemson Men's Track and Field Team Compete At 49ers Invitational

CLEMSON, S.C. - Eight members of the Clemson men's track and field team competed at the Charlotte 49ers Invitational Saturday in Charlotte, NC.

David Collins led the Tigers with a win in the 100m dash and a time of 10.68. Shauntae Lovings finished ninth in the 100m dash with a time of 11.00 and Roland Burks was tenth (11.04). Collins also ran the 200m dash, finishing 12th with a time of 23.05. Copes finished ninth in the 400m dash with a time of 49.48. Mike Connelly posted a third-place finish in the 800m with a time of 1:51.70. In the 110m hurdles, Lovings finished fourth (14.60) and Ian Potter was sixth with a time of 14.90. Andy Giesler was seventh (15.12) and Rick Hill finished ninth with a time of 15.58. Giesler finished fourth int eh high jump (6'2"0 and Hill was eighth in the shot put (41'7 3/4").
