Clemson Track and Field Teams To Host Clemson Invitational

CLEMSON, S.C. - The Clemson men's and women's track and field teams will host the Clemson Invitational this Saturday at the Rock Norman Track Complex. The meet is scheduled to begin at 11:00 a.m. with the men's hammer, women's pole vault and women's javelin throw and will conclude at 5:25 p.m. with the women's 4x400m relay.

This will be the first scored meet of the outdoor season for the Clemson teams. Five teams will compete on the men's side while the women's field will include four teams. Florida State, Alabama, Western Carolina, Appalachian State and Clemson will compete in the men's events while Florida State, Western Carolina, Appalachian State and Clemson will compete in the women's events.

This will also be the second meet of the fifth-annual Clemson Tigers Relays for the Oconee-Pickens Elementary School children. Students from the third, fourth and fifth grades will compete in 8x75 yard relays during the track meet. The schools that will be competing this Saturday include Code, Fair Oak, James M. Brown, Northside, Orchard Park, Tamassee-Salem, Walhalla and Westminster.
