Clemson Women's Track and Field Athletes Compete in Heptathlon

CLEMSON, S.C. - Two Clemson women's track and field student-athletes competed in the heptathlon at the Florida Relays Wednesday and Thursday. Lauren Nicholson and Katrina Moultrie finished eighth and 13th, respectively.

Nicholson accumulated 4,203 total and finished the heptathlon in eighth place. After the first day, Nicholson was in sixth place with 2736 points. She recorded a time of 15.13 in the 100m hurdles and a time of 26.19 in the 200m dash. She cleared 4'113/4" in the high jump and had a mark of 30'03/4" in the shot put. Nicholson posted a mark of 17'83/4" in the long jump and a mark of 60'4" in the javelin throw. She also recorded a time of 2:43.13 in the 800m run.

Moultrie finished 13th overall after finishing the first day of competition in 12th place. She recorded a time of 19.05 in the 100m hurdles and a time of 26.67 in the 200m dash. She cleared 5'1" in the high jump and posted a mark of 28'101/2" in the shot put. Moultrie recorded a long jump of 16'41/2" and had a mark of 71'2" in the javelin throw. She finished the 800m with a time of 2:48.47.
