Former Clemson Men¹s Tennis great Clement Reix was a finalistin one tournament and was a semifinalist in another in two different eventsin Morocco.Reix was an All-American in singles in 2006 at Clemson. He reached theQuarterfinals of the NCAA Singles Tournament in 2006. He was named All-ACCin 2006 and 2007.

Former Clemson Men¹s Tennis Star, Nathan Thompson won the 49th Annual CVITT Prize Money Tournament in Lynchburg, VA this past weekend.

Thompson is currently ranked 446 in ATP singles, and has a career-high ranking of 265 in doubles and 351 in singles.

AC Milan have quickly wrapped up a deal for United States centre back Oguchi Onyewu on Tuesday in a bid to quell supporter unrest over their transfer policy. Onyewu had a great Confed Cup for the U.S team. The 27-year-old, who impressed in the U.S. side's run to the Confederations Cup final last month, has joined on a free transfer from Standard Liege and penned a three-year contract.

Talor Battle (Penn State / Albany, N.Y.) was the USA's leading scorer with 17 points, Da'Sean Butler (West Virginia / Newark, N.J.)finished with 12 and Corey Fisher (Villanova / Bronx, N.Y.) posted eight, including a free throw with 5.3 seconds in the game for the USA's final point of the contest.

INDIANAPOLIS, IN - Junior Kyle Shoemaker competed Tuesday at the 2009 ConocoPhillips USA Swimming National Championships and World Championship Trials. He swam the 100-meter breaststroke to finish 27th overall with a long course time of 1:04.93. The top 24 swimmers for each event move on to the finals that will be held later on tonight.

Clemson center Catalin 'Bobo' Baciu had arthroscopic surgery on his right shoulder on Monday, June 22. The rising sophomore from Cluj-Napoca, Romania is expected to be limited for 2-3 weeks while recovering from the surgery. Baciu has been enrolled at Clemson in both summer sessions.

On Monday, June 29, members of the Clemson football coaching staff began moving in to their new offices in the WestZone. Construction is nearly complete for Phase II of the WestZone Initiative, which includes the coaches' offices, administrative offices, a new strength and conditioning area, a large team room/auditorium, an expanded equipment room and athletic training facilities.
