Samantha Sweeney came to Clemson in the summer of 2005 and currently serves as academic advisor to the women's soccer, women's track and field, and volleyball teams.

Prior to her stint at Clemson, she served as an academic advisor at Drexel University between April of 2004 and March of 2005. During her time at Drexel she helped student-athletes with study skills as well as lead a mentoring program called "Athletes Helping Athletes." Concurrently, she was employed as a teaching assistant at Temple University in Philadelphia.

Samantha earned her Bachelor of Arts degree with a double major in psychology and communication from the University of Maryland in May of 2003. While at Maryland, she was a student-athlete on the softball team, earning the honor of the ACC Weaver James-Corrigan Postgraduate Scholarship. She then received a Masters of Education degree from Temple University in Kinesiology, with a concentration in sport psychology in May of 2005.
