Player Profile

Greene was the unanimous national player of the year of college baseball in 2002 when he hit a Clemson record .470 and hit a school record 25 home runs. He joins Kris Benson as the only baseball players in Clemson history to be named National Player of the Year. Greene had arguable the greatest individual season in school history when he led the Tigers to the Final Four of the College World Series in 2002. He was a first-round draft pick of the San Diego Padres in 2002 and he is now the team's starting shortstop.
