Phil Grayson is in his fifth year as associate athletic director. As associate athletics director for administration at Clemson, Grayson is involved in sports supervision, risk management and strategic plan initiatives. Additionally, Grayson serves as the department's liaison with the Athletic Council. During his tenure at Clemson, he has also served as Associate AD/Student-Athlete Development, directing Student-Athlete Enrichment Programs in Vickery Hall. He currently serves as the chair for the ACC Committee on women's tennis.

Prior to joining Clemson's athletic department, Grayson served at the NCAA national office in Overland Park, KS and Indianapolis, IN. From 1997-1999, he was a Membership Services Representative. From 1999-2003, he served as an Associate Director of Membership Services.

He holds a M.S. in Education (Counseling and Human Services) and a B.S. in Business Administration (Marketing) from Indiana University South Bend. He transferred from Marquette University, where he played tennis for three years.
