Dear Tiger Letterwinner:
As Joe Sherman, the originator of Tigerama, put it, "there is something in these hills". And we want to give you just one more good reason to return to this place we all love. We are planning a Solid Orange Tiger Letterwinner's Spring Gathering. It will be a fun weekend and you and your family will not want to miss it!
We are planning a golf tournament and a horseshoe tournament. Again this year we will have an 8-man flag football game in Death Valley. If you remember, it was dubbed the Clemson Sons Bowl. The game will be held before the Orange & White Game. The golf tournament will be played at The Walker Course and Cross Creek Plantation. Jimmy Howard has graciously agreed to host the horseshoe tournament at his horseshoe pavilion located at his home. Golf and horseshoe tournaments will be held on Friday, April 11, 2008. The Orange and White football game, the Clemson Sons Bowl II and a brunch in the Tiger Den will be events the following day.
Clemson Tiger Baseball plays a three game series in Doug Kingsmore Stadium against North Carolina this weekend. Our track teams will be hosting the Solid Orange Classic in Tigertown on Saturday as well and our Women's Tennis team has home matches on Saturday and Sunday. There are so many reasons to come back other than seeing teammates and sharing memories. After all the events of Friday, we will have a dinner that evening for all Letterwinners and their families.
In order to plan for the event, please complete the below registration form, cut, and return that portion to us as soon as possible. We are trying to hold the cost of the Spring Gathering down as much as we can, including negotiating a group rate at an area hotel. Please respond if you will do everything possible to be a part of this Solid Orange weekend, so that we can get a good estimate of those participating in the events. Please return response to:
